"The infrastructure provided by CET and its Life Sciences Center is a key component to fostering the growth of young biotechnology and life sciences companies in the area which, without such support, might never see their ideas develop into commercial success and, most importantly, patient use."

–Matt Gallivan,
President of the Nashville Health Care Council

The CET Life Sciences Center offers flexible lab and office space, equipment and infrastructure to early-stage life sciences and other companies. In addition to the CET Services offered to other collaborative partners, tenants have access to an employee benefits program, custom build-outs and the opportunity to interface with other young biotechnology companies.

Located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, the Life Sciences Center is designed to alleviate a shortage of laboratory space in the Metro area. The center is being expanded to accommodate additional interest.

Tenants at the Life Sciences Center enjoy access to the following features:

  • Convenient downtown location, with 8,000 sq.ft. of laboratory and office space (and access to up to 26,000 sq.ft.) in the Gateway to Nashville Pavilion - adjacent to the Union Station Hotel.
  • Great flexibility, with wet and dry labs and offices of varied sizes. There are currently opportunities for custom build-outs on multiple units for the larger organization with a need for individual specifications.
  • A shared laboratory facility for use by all tenants has been outfitted with laboratory benches, fume hood, laminar-flow cabinet and other scientific equipment.
  • Access to conference room, kitchen and other facilities.
  • Gated parking adjacent to the building.
  • Close proximity to Vanderbilt University (1½ miles away) makes the space ideal for university based start-ups, enabling faculty to maintain close contact with the main campus while initiating commercialization work for their technologies.
  • Community of resources both within the Life Sciences Center and nearby Cummins Station, which houses a wide variety of companies providing support services for the smaller firm, as well as restaurants and shops - all within walking distance.
  • Access to CET Services, an employee benefits program, and other biotechnology companies and organizations, including the Tennessee Biotechnology Association, whose headquarters resides at the facility.
